Sunday Aug 11 #

3 PM

road running 55:00 [3] 11.75 km (4:41 / km) +130m 4:26 / km
shoes: Adidas Boston

Was meant to be two hour moderate but it started with thunder and lightening when I left so just ran for 55 minutes somewhere between moderate and tempo....no real reason but didn't get struck by lightening so will do the moderate on Monday AM

Saturday Aug 10 #

9 AM

trail running 1:42:00 [2] 15.6 km (6:32 / km) +479m 5:40 / km
shoes: Salomon Prototype

Glad I went for the longer run yesterday - pretty grim easy run. No issues

Friday Aug 9 #

8 AM

trail running 4:00:00 [3] 43.0 km (5:35 / km) +751m 5:08 / km
shoes: Salomon Prototype

Sure other UK based runners you have will have mentioned it but the weather is fucking grim this weekend.

Was awake at 5am with thunder / lightening kicking off but looked like a weather window from 9am so went and did the 4 hour.

Two lakes Alwen and Brenig...both runnable good trail and the only problem sometimes is the wind.

It was windy but sunny for the first lake Brenig the Alwen was calm....stayed there and it all felt good / easy.

Had gels from 2 hours and the rain came hard for the last 30 minutes but still warm so pretty enjoyable.

Thursday Aug 8 #

6 PM

trail running 1:14:00 [2] 13.0 km (5:42 / km) +244m 5:12 / km
shoes: Salomon Prototype

Did a bit on my own before group session + Strideouts

Nice evening before the storms hit for the weekend

Wednesday Aug 7 #

10 AM

trail running 1:00:00 [3] 8.5 km (7:04 / km) +350m 5:51 / km
shoes: inov 8 X Talon 275

Easy run with 8 X 60s Hill Reps

Two more than the 6 stated for no real reason...really pushed hard the last 10s of each one.

The easy running around them was a bit bumpy so took it very easy as will be out again tonight

Tuesday Aug 6 #

9 AM

road running 1:15:00 [3] 13.8 km (5:26 / km) +160m 5:08 / km
shoes: Adidas Boston

Easy with 8 x 45s speed variations

Intervals averaged 4:00km pace according to the new update on watch although only had the timer set at the time.

Felt really good this morning, nice spring in the step on the intervals

Monday Aug 5 #

trail running 1:00:00 [3] 7.5 km (8:00 / km) +25m 7:52 / km
shoes: Salomon Prototype

Easy coaching + drills - no issues
8 AM

trail running 1:15:00 [2] +142m
shoes: inov 8 X Talon 275

Easy trails + strideouts

Found a new spot for easy running, hard packed trail good for about an hour and nice to run on.

Felt a bit tired getting going but strideouts felt good which I did in the car park
