The kids play Rugby on a Sunday morning now for 6 weeks so wanted to get out early for the 80' Moderate

Woke up to -6 degrees and ice all over the place so chose to run home after the Rugby instead at 10am....def a better choice.

Sunny, still cold but roads much better....there is one long uphill section for a few miles but I kept it moderate by backing off and then stayed out a little longer as felt fine and nice morning.

Wore the HOKA and they are def great for that kind off effort on the road I find.

Back better today - less of an ache afterwards

Easy long run with the dog, no issue apart from back ache afterwards - none during.

Weather finally a bit more favourable but very cold

10 x 2' Tempo 2' Rolling.

Not flat but I tried to keep the efforts as flat as possible with a bit of doubling back and they worked out at 3:45km this week which I felt way off from a few weeks ago for more effort so thats good.

I do some easy running then a few of the drills but noticed my back was stiff so took the first one a bit easier...after that it was no issue until at home afterwards - just an ache no real issue

Easy Coaching - my back went in to spasm this morning lifting the kids around.

Not massively but it happens every so often, you prob don't remember the last time...I certainly don't

It used to be a lot worse (I injured playing football when younger) but now I can keep moving it just stiffens up after running usually.

Anyway not an issue tonight but may do in the next few days

Felt lots better fitness wise in the last week or so - rib still aches after a run over an hour but its no issue

Diagonals - the pitches and ground were just sodden and apart from the the first 10 minutes it hammered it down some more.

The wind and rain meant the diagonals were just splashing around trying my best but I soon lost count so just did them for about 25 mins then a few more laps easy before finishing.

2 hrs easy - meant to have a 2hr race effort but will email you separately maybe.

In short I have to have the dog out the house on a Monday AM and she cannot keep up with me these days unless easy running.

So 2 hrs easy with a friend who is visiting the area. High winds which made it fun but apart from that very easy.
