Strange but from 9 of running I don't really have a lot to say.

The injury was there just about from the start which made me think I will just bail at the first CP at 10km to be honest but it didn't get any worse and I could run just fine so thought I would do the next section which was up Jacobs Ladder and over Kinder Scout which I had never done before...

It was a staggered start and they let me go off last so that if I did bail I wouldn't be waiting long to get a lift back

Anyway I would say for the first 30-40km I was able to just run along just fine then we hit a flat 5 mile section on tarmac around Derwent and the injury felt different.

From that point I just took it as easy as possible and even stopped for an ice cream with about 8km to go.

The pain in the glute did feel like you say 'an adhesion' maybe being irritated so I just didn't want more pain to be honest.

My hiking legs were pretty non existent all day but any runnable gradient felt good.

I was pretty sore afterwards and handed in my tracker straight away so I wasn't tempted to do day two.

Sunday I had zero pain in the injured area and apart from a bit of Doms in the quads felt OK.

Out early for 45 mins which was a bit of a shock to the system but needed the free time for work, still getting used to doing school run etc it wastes so much fucking time its unbelievable...

About 8km but guessing , didn't take my watch as ironically the never ending COROS had a dead battery.

No change really - discomfort radiating different times / different levels.

It was nice to be out in the sunshine instead of the garage.
