road running 1:15:00 [2] 13.29 km (5:39 / km) +125m 5:23 / km
shoes: HOKA Carbon X

75' Easy but was meant to be 1hr 40.

Couldn't really risk running in the forest in the AM in a bit of a storm, branches and trees dropping with hard rain all morning so I waited

Ran on the lanes and I think I could just feel the injury almost being tired after 70 mins so decided to call it there after a good few days.

If I had been on the trail I don't think it would have been an issue and I could have ran on easily but just being cautious.

road running 1:14:00 [2] 12.4 km (5:58 / km) +125m 5:41 / km
shoes: HOKA Carbon X

Easy road + Strideouts - it was fine but still feel like I am on a tightrope while on the road ...maybe in my head though. Better every day now which is all I can ask.

Did the strideouts in full and they went OK too this time

cycling 56:00 [3]

Moderate hilly

trail running 1:25:00 [2] 11.4 km (7:27 / km) +326m 6:31 / km

Easy - local lockdown here now so although they could stay open for everyone in the county the Mountain Bike Centre shit its pants again and closed

This means I have the trails to myself really so ran around very easy...injury felt better again, got a little tired more than anything I think from the nature of the trails.

I might not do that too often just yet, as you can imagine very twisty with short ups / downs

Gym Work 30:00 [3]

Squats / Deadlifts @ 50% bodyweight

Easier now with no strain afterwards so sticking with it.

road running 57:00 [3] 12.0 km (4:45 / km) +144m 4:29 / km
shoes: HOKA Carbon X

moderate + strides

Easy first mile or so then got down to 4:30 easy enough.

Better again, didn't push it more than that because its one of those runs where you are expecting it to go pear shaped the whole time.

Bit of discomfort in the adductor area, I get that when I do squats for the first time in a while so will mention it to Duncan - I am there next Thursday.

Strideouts were half arsed to be honest.

I was happy that I managed an hour moderate so it was more like a cool down but no reaction after so will do them properly next time.

Might even treat myself to some road shoes now I am still in the same Carbon X from this time last year!

trail running 45:00 [1] 5.0 km (9:00 / km) +221m 7:22 / km
shoes: INOV8 Terra Ultra G270

Went to coach the local slugs but nobody turned up as we went on to local lockdown last night, recovery run with Fergie instead.

Lockdown here won't change much training wise although I done really have flat trails at the moment.

trail running 1:01:00 [1] 9.5 km (6:25 / km) +226m 5:44 / km
shoes: INOV8 Terra Ultra G270

Easy + strideouts

Feels better again since I did the squats / deadlifts ...

road running 1:00:00 [2] 11.2 km (5:21 / km) +135m 5:03 / km
shoes: HOKA Carbon X

Easy with Speed Variations.

The quicker efforts did hurt more than easy running but wasn't making it worse overall. More acute and sharp discomfort but not bad enough to make me want to stop.

it was on only around 4:15/4:30 on the efforts so I was still pretty cautious.

If I run easy and lightly press my thumb on the area there is no pain at all so more of a an irritant right now
