Easy running on the closed MTB trail again which is a lot of fun but not exactly smooth going so not lots of distance covered

Lots of switchbacks , up and down hill but no issues like in the past...just feeling it a bit in the hip maybe again but it wasn't a worry.

Felt loads better this weekend fitness wise.

Easy + Hill Sprints

I did the sprints in the middle of the run as out and back to the hill is 30 mins both ways rather than doing them in front of the neighbours at the end where I live.

After our conversation I thought I would just no hold back on the sprints whatever niggle I felt (within reason)

I could go all out and felt good doing so , will say the last two just had my arse grumbling a bit but stuck with it.

Bit achey on the ay back but no issue after.

Easy 20 then 5 minute reps although at some point on the first rep my watch but out due to it being at 2% and I didn't notice which was annoying.

It almost has too much battery life because I forget to bother charging.

Anyway the first rep felt good, better than last week but then I had to change the hill due to some massive diggers crossing the path.

2 -4 was just guesswork on the 5 mins...I did have my phone to record but didn't want to stare at it

They felt better again, bit of discomfort on the outside of hip but I didn't hold back.

Cock up of a day, had too much to do and had to help my mum out with something last minute so only just got to the easy run with the local group instead of the 5' uphill reps - will do them tomorrow.

last weeks session was good and this was more progress - less tiredness in the hamstring , less niggly but always aware of it.

The road was flooded at one point but I ran through it not realising just how flooded.....it was up to my knees straight away with freezing water so that was fun

Strideouts were average, not through lack of effort just a bit flat but no real issues

Diagonals.

Warm up drills felt a bit better, I can put more in to them and things like Grapevine for example is smoother.


Pitch is perfect still with nobody using it but being looked after by the council.

I will be honest, I lost count after just a couple so just did them constantly for about 25 mins - they felt good ...bit niggly at points but nothing new.
