10km warm up followed by a 30k TT then 5K rolling around Malaga city centre, followed by another 30k TT home with 5k cool down. Averaged 35kph for the TT's & I suffered.

1100m climb in the first 30K with long ramps of 18 - 20+% was a bit much for me & despite eating and drinking everything I had, I was dead on my bike, so we cut the loop short, stopped for food and rolled back home. Fantastic roads and amazing scenery again.

A week of sunshine & warmth, cycling in Spain east of Malaga. Today was a loop up to Competa. Fantastic roads, extremely courteous drivers, stunning scenery. Didn't push too hard today & reacquainted myself with my road bike.

Shocker. Loads of time lost in the circle looking for hidden pits on a poorly mapped area. Made worse today by the army actively engaging in shooting, bombing (?) and tracking training, as I ran through them. This really freaked me out and made concentration on the course a lot harder. I was nearly in tears after an incident with one guy pointing his gun at me and signalling me to move out of his way and wait for him to finish his training exercise before I moved on. Dave told me afterwards that he told that same guy to eff off after he told him rather impolitely to move out of the area as well.

Left calf also cramped halfway so I shuffled from there to manage. Think it's just dehydration as I have not had a happy tum for couple of days. Won't run for a week though to rest it.
