Well I had low expectations of my body & it didn't disappoint - felt awful from the start & put a stop to the car crash of a run I was having on the long leg to #5 & walked back. Shame bc the area is a good one & I was looking forward to a run on it. Way higher HR is a sign things aren't right still.

Thursdays stomach bug still has me feeling very flat & weak. Plus I seem to have a head cold now. Wanted to do a ride outside today, but probably just as well it was raining as I felt terrible on the spin bike inside so wouldn't have managed much outside anyway.

Did a 20min stretch afterwards. First proper stretch in a while. Something going on with my right hip as it's very tight.

Needed fresh air so went out to test the left calf which hasn't been great walking all week. I can feel something in there while jogging, so kept the jog sections short with lots of walking. Realised that its not surprising something is going on with it given I've turned the right ankle so much over the last couple of months - always develop a calf issue on the opposite leg after an ankle turn. I felt awful up any incline. Still weak from yesterdays stomach bug.

I felt much stronger on the bike today and didn't suffer until the last lot of climbs in the final 3rd of the ride - mainly because they ramped up to 18% again. More amazing scenery and fantastic roads - what a great week of cycling! It's a shame to be going home.

We did the Caminito Del Rey walk - it was even better than I expected and definitely a bucket list item.

Dave wanted a long ride today whereas I didn't, so he went out and did 65k first, then met me for another loop. The road up to Frigiliana was fantastic with even more stunning views at the top (however the descent was rough/very poor surface and not enjoyable). I didn't feel as tired today as I expected but I was glad to do a shorter loop.
