Hiked up and down Kearsarge by main trail. Pushed pretty hard with breathing up and with legs down, so I called it level 2. Fabulous day. Spent almost 2 hours on top watching ravens and hawks (4 sharpie, goshawk, redtail, merlin, bald eagle, and an imm. peregrine that was bothering the ravens the whole time).

Down Skyline, then 16A to 16 and return. Sluggish and rubber-legged. Got a bit better coming back, with tailwind. Still not pushing as hard as usual. No monitor. Lovely sun, clouds, and mountains after rain.

Not motivated at all, so just ran around trail-road circuit in the Village. It's a 1.03 mile loop starting in my back yard, more than half on trail, the rest road, with gradual ups and downs. Did three laps at 12:17, 11:26, 10:42, obviously feeling better as I got going. Legs a bit sore from last two days. NO heart monitor but I did keep breathing to 3 in 3 out for first two, then switched to mostly 2 in 2 out (race pace) for last. Not quite full out yet, but my anticoagulant blood test finally got into the desired zone so I should be out of stroke risk by the N. Ams.

16A to Glen and up Jericho Rd to first gate, then return after run by 16 and I.C. Rd. Lots faster coming down Jericho than going up! Tail wind coming home.

Last two miles of Jericho Rd and first two miles of Rocky Branch Tr. (redline), in to Stairs Col Tr. and out. Great road and trail run, very smooth, with a four mile gradual downhill coming back. Partly cloudy day, "September weather".
