Note

Was intending to run in the evening but I ended up walking from 10am until 6.30pm more or less non-stop as I was exploring Sydney, so felt to tired to run. I had also agreed to catch up with people for a drink so ran out of time completely.

Had great intentions of doing the track workout on the track next to my hotel but then i got a call to say the hotel had double booked and i was going to be be in another hotel. the trouble was it was on the other side of sydney and nowhere near a track. irritated because i chose the initial one because it was close to both a track and centennial park.

anyway, i instead bused into town and ran over the bridge.

got drenched in a torrential downpour. and then after i got changed and was taking shelter under the awning of a building a bus whizzed through a deep puddle next to me and i got redrenched. it was a travesty.

Core and then a long leg strengthening workout. That was really good. My lunges are pretty crap again.

Warm up, then upper body and core. Short stretch focusing in calfs.

Achilles felt fine so did a short easy run. I was with Alice and Paul.

We were going around 3:55/km which meant the other pack was in close enough contact with us to be inspired to run faster. They were smashed at the end and Bryce a 10km pb! Their post run stories are full of jousting, surging and counter surging. So competitive. It's awesome.

Warm up, bit of core and then mega stretch. the gym was even busier this evening.
