nope could not pull the trigger on the AA 5K. too great a risk of serious injury, had some heat on the leg this morning and it was still painful even without weight bearing. I'd rather not sacrifice a week of low intensity running now that my major focus is sustainable weight loss. that low intensity will be key to trimming off the weight. my new goal, purposely modest is to lose 0.85 lbs per week, which is equivalent to a 424 Kcal short per day, so using Fitday and weighing food to get as close as possible, even with measurement error, a lot of this in estimating calorie burn for exercise. but hopefully over time will show the downward trend. guess I'm looking at first FB race on Dec 10, 25 weeks away. if all goes as planned will weigh in at 175. 20 lbs away. but with 6 months to get there, think it is realistic.

may not enter the maintenance training in AP log since I'm also entering in FitDay to dial in the calorie deficit but I'll definitely be checking the logs for inspiration, thanks to mb for turning me on to AP and the great community of masters runners here. you are an inspiration.
