phew, glad I didn't sign up for St Pats, too cold to run slow.

Walk/Run 1:10:00 [2] 4.5 mi (15:33 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Challenger ATR (purple)

neighborhood jog, kept jogging the whole distance, pretty much, except to stop and talk with a neighbor. :) wanted a check on whether I can run a 10:00 pace for St Pats next weekend to get in a midwave at Peachtree RR in July, Yep, . . . Yes . . . I . . . Can. :)

Note

shooting for the double commute, legs feel OK, maybe the tippy-toe forefoot strike is helping.
8 AM

Walk/Run 45:00 [2] 3.5 mi (12:51 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Challenger ATR (purple)

how did I do this 5 min faster than Wed? with no perceived additional effort, weird. the time is solid because I get a reading on the home clock and then on the Metrolink clock when I arrive. and I know how to subtract. ??
6 PM

Walk/Run 1:00:00 [1] 3.55 mi (16:54 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Challenger ATR (purple)

walk/jog home, about 15 min slower than the morning, but it was dark in the park, and didn't want to turn an ankle.

Note

up for billy tomorrow, the first SCIAC multi-dual, he's doubling up on the 1500/ 800, start separated by only 40 minutes so really only about 35 min rest. the 1600 in high school was not really his thing so we'll see how he does. I think he ran a ~4:40, which works out to a ~4:20 1500, so we'll see if he can equal that tomorrow.
