JD Q workout, planned 4x800 I on 400m recovery plus 4x200R on 200m . . . I planned on doing only 3 reps of each . . . but my calf had other plans. at end of 2nd rep, about 20m to the line, splingggg, pulled the left lower calf; very sudden onset, no warning, stopped immediately and walked it in, even sore on the bike and walking, icing now, have no idea why it decided to pull now, not really pushing hard, dehydrated? not adequate warmup? No, No. nothing unusual, maybe the team plyo last night was too calf intensive. ??
at any rate, this feels like a pretty serious injury, answers the question of whether I can do the AA5K this weekend and maybe even put me out of the MM, really no reason to worsen an injury for races I'm not really trained for in the first place.
