Northcliffe woods, Shipley. Weds evening informal training event. Ground quite slippy in places, but much, much better in the new Inov8's than in the old road shoes!

Run up one of the fells near Ballachulish, Glencoe to test out the new Inov8's. Good grip on v. steep wet ground with confident hold on both ascent and descent.

JK2006 Ilkley Moor M35S. Really nice course over fantastic moorland. Some good climing required in places. Nailed most of the controls well and enjoyed the challenge of the more technical bits near the end once I was pretty tired.. Pleased to get a Bronze badge time and some points on the BOF rankings at last!! Hopefully my last proper event in road shoes as I purchased some new Inov8's today! Winners time around 56 mins.

JK2006 warm up Sprint at Temple Newsham. My first ever sprint and great fun too! Really nice parkland course with intricate set of controls around the house and gardens near the end. Pleased with my time too! Elite runners were coming in around 13-14 mins.

Macclefield Forest - Compass Sport Cup event. This is my most arduous event so far. My first Brown course and having rained most of the week beforehand, the ground was really wet. I am still only in possession of road shoes, so found it very hard going indeed. Pleased to nail some controls and found others a bit more difficult. Felt really out of condition and pretty worn out by the end.. Still, I didn't come last! Winning time was sub 1 hour...
