Running 28:00 [3] 3.0 mi (9:20 / mi) +150m 8:05 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel Cumulus

Nice snowy run from home along the canal to the sorting office in the vain hope that my as-yet undelivered compass might have been languishing there, but to no avail... Still, the run was great, canal mostly frozen and towpath crunchy, but still felt solid enought to run on without feeling at risk of slipping. Quite a few other runners out too.

Lovely frosty morning run over fields from Mum and Dad's to Chesterton, via Whitegates farm, then back over Harbury Heath. Air incredibly clear, but still well below freezing..

Lovely morning run with Abby in the snow round Harbury. Air not too cold, but the trees look fabulous with their white coating.

Running (Control Setting) 3:20:00 [3] **
shoes: Inov8 Mudroc O'330

Thought it was going to be a rest-ish sort of day, but spent over two hours setting out controls in Beckett Park because I'd decided on 5 loops from the car to different areas. Changed my plan afterwards and ended up running back with about 15 controls (not recommended in the dark 'cos you can't see the ground well), so collection was a bit faster.

No idea how much ground I covered, but after christmas with my new GPS gadget thingy I will....

Anyway, great event with over 30 runners and clearly sufficiently challenging as only 1 runner got all 25 controls on the two maps... Started sleeting after finish which added to the control collection joy.

Running 45:07 [3] 8.0 km (5:38 / km) +100m 5:18 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Cumulus

From home, up Beechwood cres & St Annes Drive to footpath up through Batcliffe woods. Across Beckett Park to West Park and back through Headingley. Really wanted to check my control sites for Weds night, they are putting a Gas main in up St Chads drive across campus, so I may need to remove a couple beforehand...

Running 29:04 [3] 3.35 mi (8:41 / mi) +50m 8:18 / mi
shoes: Asics Gel Cumulus

Home, over Burley Park, Brudenell Road, Hyde Park, through the snickets up to the Ridge, along Wood Lane past my old student house, Headingley, back past the Cricket ground and Beechwood Cresc.

Still some fabulous autumn colours on the ridge..
