Running 43:00 [3] 4.5 mi (9:33 / mi) +100m 8:56 / mi
shoes: Inov8 Mudroc O'330

Nice run round Harbury from Mum and Dad's. Been raining hard since yesterday morning so quite flooded in places. From home to Ufton Nature reserve over fields to what used to be Sir Jack's place, round reserve (saw Green woodpecker) back to village centre. Nice to be on old turf!

Running 56:00 [3] 6.0 mi (9:20 / mi)
shoes: Inov8 Mudroc O'330

Great run with Andy from his house up to 7 arches in Adel woods. Weather seemed a bit poor to begin with but didn't get too wet or cold. Been raining a bit recently and ground was not a sticky as I thought it might be. Still good to be on terrain rather than a treadmill.

Orienteering 48:00 [4] *** 3.8 km (12:38 / km) +220m 9:48 / km
12c shoes: Inov8 Mudroc O'330

AIRE O-Lite event at Danefield. Nice Green course. Consolidated traffic-lighting. Bit boggy in places with all the recent rain, but again got to see parts of the Chevin I've not run on before and also visited some control points I've seen before...

Orienteering race 1:38:37 [5] *** 6.4 km (15:25 / km) +220m 13:09 / km
17c shoes: Inov8 Mudroc O'330

Burbage Moor national event, M35S. Really enjoyed this apart from control no. 1 which took me 26 mins to find and therefore ruined any hopes of a decent time. Looking at the splits I am not alone in this, although the winners of these courses clearly seemed to go straight to it, but a significant number took well over 15 mins to find it. Still, I nailed the other 16 controls pretty well and it was a good contrast of open moorland and woodland. Pretty steep in places.
