Orienteering race 36:00 [3] 3.0 km (12:00 / km) +50m 11:05 / km
shoes: VJ supra

World schools middle- another grotty area but got round a lot better. Had a pretty good run except #6 where I was about 5m away when I saw Rachel Brown who told me she'd been looking for it for 20 mins which distracted me from looking for it by myself. I knew where I was several times and still didn't manage to get to the control in the mid green which wasn't lovely. Eventually tried again from where I went in originally and found it immediately
Annoyed because if I hadn't go so distracted by Rachel (lost 10 mins) I would've done quite well.
again have no idea about length or climb and not even sure thats my time

Orienteering 31:00 [3] 4.0 km (7:45 / km)
shoes: VJ supra

Friendship relay round Palermo. Me and the belgian girl in my team were very worried about our Italian guy who after we gave him the furthest controls told us he ran without a compass and he was in normal shoes. We also discovered he was a fairly slow runner, and he set off in the wrong direction after the first two controls we had to go to together. Somehow he did well though and we were only waiting a couple mins. Some bits were a bit dodgy especially since I was by myself for loads of it, and my plan wasn't the best (the order I went to controls could've been improved) but it was fun

Orienteering race 1:06:00 [3] 4.5 km (14:40 / km) +120m 12:56 / km
shoes: VJ supra

World schools long- absolute shithole, so grotty and not runnable. Spent nearly 10 mins stuck in the green on the way to #1, but somehow didn't learn from this. Was a little to the right when I hit the path on the way to #4, then went right all the way downhill and then realised and came all the way back up next to a stream. Took at least 5 mins just to get back up with all the gorse. 10 min leg and 19 min leg, safe to say it was a pretty horrendous run.
Also since England were the only team told we weren't allowed garmins, I have no idea how far I went
