(sick) shoes: Inov8 x talon 212

Still feeling really rough. Wanted to run up the munro as it's a rest day today for the field trip. Just couldn't do it, feeling really bunged up so wasn't worth damaging myself anymore. Really need a good sleep, been getting 6 hours or less the last week which means I haven't been able to shake this cold. Going to stop running until it gets better because training through it is clearly not working. Will play it by ear.

(sick) (rest day)

Last day of mapping, late night probably not a good idea. Had the chuck a load of paracetomal down myself to maintain being a functioning human being.

Up to he caves again. Starting to get really tired being out all day. Cold has got worse so will need a rest day. Legs felt like bricks so was very much a steady effort. Couple of strides to finish.

With course mate up the valley to some cool caves. Really nice weather today but quite tired from walking about mapping. Nice to be able to run with someone else. Still ticking over and shin feels stable so overall in a good place.

Another long day looking at rocks. Was tired but still motivated enough to go for a run. Out and back along the valley. Razed the uphill then chilled the downhill. Got the strava segment on the uphill yeet.

First run on the field trip. Really wasn't feeling this as far too early for me. Felt tired and headachy for the whole thing but shins fine.

Completely unplanned double day. Got back after 8+ hours of looking at rocks, weather was mint so couldn't pass down the opportunity to go for a run. Stopped because shin felt a bit weird, almost tingly but no pain. Will probably run in the evenings and not the mornings as it's just more enjoyable. Will keep a close eye on the shin and pull the plug if it gets any worse. Not as difficult as I thought to find time to go for runs, was the longest day today and actually wanted to go for a run.
