Track: 3k(5’), 2k(4’), 1k

On a gravel track with the boys. Going 1k about with Carcas. Kept it chill basically until the last rep. Feeling alright considering the couple of weeks off. Did this as doing mid Cheshire 5k a week on Friday. Risky for the groin but though I may aswell make use of this shape whilst I’ve got the chance. Groin was a 3/10 for the session. Wouldn’t have said it got noticeably worse. More noticeable on the warm down but not limping.

Not as fast as a couple of weeks ago but much more controlled so fairly happy. Skipped the last 500m rep as didn’t want to fully pop the groin.

Track session tomorrow. Probs bad idea but need to show carcas a pair of clean heels so needs must eh. Got 5k race in 10 days so think will risk groin a bit to try and carry some shape into it.

Very easy shuffle round some nice Forrest. Groin and hip about a 2/10. No better but no worse either.

Little jog before a swim with Carcas, Finn and Tom. Groin same as always. Played it a little bit too live and ended up in some skog. Just the ways it goes.

Little jog round a sprint course and then a little bit more with Kris. Going to go for a zero skog policy this week as tough terrain won’t be good for the groin. Everything very niggly, hip/groin not much better but got a good rehab plan in place so going to start to try running. On a positive things seemed to settle towards the end of the run.

Note

Received another battering from the physio. Probably good to start running from the weekend. Will have to keep an eye on things for the next few weeks. Strained pectineus is the diagnosis, and hip is getting aggravated as a result so just a case of keeping everything nice and loose to allow the strain to settle.

Hot hilly pre breakfast hour. 500m of climb including a couple of big boys. Feeling alright but trying to keep it fairly steady on the climbs and not kill myself as already 27 degrees out. Will probably go out later for another easy hour or so.

Another easy one with Themis. Nice catch up, really toasty still but moving ok.
