Nice pre-brekkie Morton job with a nice pack of boys. Fantastic day for it, very crisp. Felt good the whole way and dropped a couple of 3:10s at the end, filthy. Salvaged an alright week considering the illness.

Pre-brekkie hermitage. Still got the sniffles but feeling better today. Nipping along very nicely, felt nice and chill. Big winter feels.

Easy double with Ro round the meadows. Didn’t drink enough so that wasn’t ideal but a nice little stroll nevertheless.

Easy Craigmillar with the flat. Felt better today, still sounding groggy but no where near as bunged up as yesterday and slept much better last night. Quite enjoyable actually, nothing from the groin either. Happy days!

Since Monday been having quite a lot of mucus build up in the back of my throat. Got worse last night and feeling quite groggy/bunged up today so just going to rest up until I feel ready to run again.

Pre-gym, then wasn't allowed in gym because I was late and there was some covid rule about not letting people in late. Anyway, after making a right mug of myself, I carried on for the rest of the run. Silly me.
11 AM

Golf day, this time on a big boy course (Merchants of Edinburgh) with Joe, Tom and Finn. Nice day for it, course playing a little short. Safe to say this was probably my best round of golf ever. Was aiming for +25 or roughly within 10 shots of Joe, however, myself and Joe both ended up shooting +15. This included 6 pars and 2 birdies for me and another couple of birdies for Joe, unreal scenes. That being said, I had to take 2 drop shots and missed a couple of very short puts. Can't really complain though. Tom and Finn made their debuts on big boy courses. Tom with a +40 and Finn with a +53. Some glimmers of class shone through the numerous shanks and duffs. Good day out, taken at a leisurely pace so was 4 hours on the feet.

Round the block. Pre session, just think this would be a good habit to get into before evening sessions. Hopefully will set the legs up a bit better after the rest day yesterday.

Meadows Sesh: 4x8' [2' float]

Small group this week. Set off with Andy, Max and Joe. Andy and Max slowly moved away after the first rep. Just kept it nice and controlled for the whole thing. Felt pretty good in general. Last rep was solo so pace dropped off a little but kept the effort the same so no worries there. Encouraging!

(rest day)

90mins of Uber and 18 holes at Swanston Par 3 course again with Dan, Tom and Joe. Bit of a mare today so cbf with the big write up but long story short front 9 was some of the worst golf I've ever played and included a +8 on one hole where I just could not get out of the bunker to save my life. Better on the back 9, with 2 birdies and a par. Still had a couple of bad holes ended up +8 for the back 9. Putting was decent today. 2 birdies and 4 pars in total so potential to shoot much lower is there. Had a good time nevertheless.
