Chill Morton SLR with a cheeky pick-up at the end. Felt pretty standard, no complaints. Experienced the handles of love segment for the first time, very enjoyable. Biggest week for nearly 2 years haha. Pretty embarrassing.

HH Sesh: 10’T [5’], 10x75’’ [75’’]

Good group of O boys out today. Felt horrific on the warm up and really wasn’t up for it. Felt better on the tempo and then was able to get down to some respectable paces on the 75s. Going through 400m in 65-68 for most reps so not too bad on sloppy grass. Called it at 10, felt like I’d got my money’s worth at that point. Calves in pieces, no surprises there.

Railway loop with Finn and Max. Taking the new speedy shoes for a spin. Did 4x20'' strides. Can confirm, they are very bouncy.

Morning Craigmillar. Felt pretty rubbish, shoukd have kept the pace more chill. Think I'm just a bit behind on sleep. Keep seeming to wake up around 6-7am no matter what time I go to bed. Will fix this by going to bed earlier.

Running 29:40 [2] 6.52 km (4:33 / km) +30m 4:27 / km

Pre 18 holes of shocking golf at Prestonfield. Tough course, seems like all the Par 4s were over 400 yards. Felt better on the run.

Pretty intense session. Already felt the bonk coming on. Really regretting my decision to not have breakfast.

Post-gym hermitage. Oh Lord, this was not fun. Absolute grind from the start, bonking out my arse the whole way. Will definitely need some breakfast next time.

Meadows Sesh: 4x8' [2' float]

Started with the 15:30 group. Moved away with Dougie and Ben Potrykus after the 1st rep. Felt good initially, but then my stomach started to go mid way through the second rep. Had already committed though so just had to suck it up and get on with it. Happy to grind it out but would have liked this to feel more comfortable. Still managed to progress nicely but flagging badly by the end. Legs felt fine though. Hopefully will feel better for xc TT on the weekend.

Rep paces: 3:15,12,12,09/km
