Honestly a really slow run but a lot of hills and hot and I was super tired so I'm not calling it an easy run. First week hitting 60 miles!

Pollo plus 4 strides on the track. Only Coach, a kid who graduated 2 years ago, 2 junior guys, and I did it, plus a girl who was a ways back, with everyone else doing slow DQ. I gotta say I'm concerned for the girls team this year. A lot of girls haven't been showing up (for various [mostly] valid reasons, although if you're really dedicated, you prioritize running over those reasons), and I've been the only one training consistently and getting in mileage and workouts. Which is concerning currently being the fastest girl because I'm not that fast. I hate to make judgments this early in the season, but I really doubt we'll make it to state as a team.

5-4-3-3-4-5 at Maple Hills. Coach said it was a tempo and to "enjoy the pace, but not too much." I felt strong the whole way through but not like I was slacking.

morning run with Alex. Ran faster for the first half and alot slower on the way back. I felt weirdly nauseous going up the big hill at the end but otherwise good. Still annoyed about the tempo

Ron Regis. At 3 pm. In 80 degree weather. I tried tempoing 3 miles. I tempoed 2.2 miles. At least I went past 2 miles. It felt fast. I felt strong but not good. I wish I could tempo faster than I have been.

Also would've been nice to have a running buddy... Kinda hard to run fast for 3 miles in the heat by yourself... Also would be nice if I wasn't now the fastest girl on the team so we could at least make it to districts if not state... Also would be great if the girls team would show up to the first few days of practice...
