Long! I love longs!
This was slow. Overall more clean in the forest, but it was very much just run straight and read the general features. Also had a real mistake on 8 but corrected quickly and was otherwise fine. Navigation decent, physically I didn't feel tired and didn't really push. I'll take note going into May training.

A shaky middle race, really didn't feel confident in the forest and had a lot of hesitation, as well as letting the vegetation push me off. No real mistakes but I kept ending up 10-20 meters to one side or the other of the control. Forest orienteering is rusty though so I get it

THE RACE OF THE CENTURY. Never mind the sprint tomorrow. This thing was the real sprint. After many delays for my flight leaving Bozeman, I ended up with a lovely 3-minute layover in Minneapolis before my flight to Dulles. Read on for a *lit* story:

Hopped off the plane at MSP, gonna see my O team again
Sprinting to the land of gate C-21, am I gonna get in?
Run for a mile here I am my face is pouring,
Look to my left and I see they closed boarding
This is not so easy, why the midwest gotta be so freezy
My arms are pumping, it's a mile the other way to G-10
To catch the 8:50 flight to Reagan
And then my watch says 8:50, they're leaving soon
But I get there and they let me on
And the Delta guys let me on
And the Delta guys let me OOONNN
So I put my seatbelt on, I'm gonna be gone, I'm gonna fly away
Breathing hard like "ahhh"
Wiping the sweat off my face like "blehhh"
Seatbelt on, I'm gonna be gone, gonna make it to DCA
Yeaaaahhhhh, it be like that sometimes on Team USA

I've had this rough map of campus for a while (thanks to Gord Hunter), and finally whipped it out today for a quick course before the Trail Junkies run. Stoked about there being no snow, I'm gonna start using this map once a week.
