Saturday May 17

Event: Sun Coast Classic & WOC Selection Trials

Orienteering race 17:50 [5] **** 2.7 km (6:36 / km)
NOL #10 Sprint Distance.
Solid run on my own - about 8th place.
Great start. Just not fast enough at the end for a really high placing.
Orienteering race 38:50 [5] **** 5 km (7:46 / km)
NOL # 11 - Middle Distance
Littlechild Creek
Fairly clean. A good run on my own.
Got stuck in a thick swamp between 6 and 7 and lost about a minute, and a lot of energy getting through. I will try to avoid those tomorrow.
Running warm up/down 30:00 [3] 6 km (5:00 / km)

Thursday May 15

Running 40:00 [2] 8 km (5:00 / km)
A few 250m run throughs, followed by 4 x 100m

Wednesday May 14

Running 50:00 [2] 10 km (5:00 / km)
Easy run. Watched the corporate cup, and then did a slow lap.

Tuesday May 13

Running intervals 20:00 [4] 5.5 km (3:38 / km)
Mona fartlek.
Struggled on the first couple (as I didn't get time to stretch), but I came home strongly.
Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 6 km (5:00 / km)
Catching Features 30:00 [0]
I developed a Catching Feature map of the Tasmanian model area, Constable Creek, and then set myself a course and ran it.

Monday May 12

Running 50:00 [3] 11 km (4:33 / km)
weight:69.6kg
Fawkner Park loop in reverse. I nice cool and sunny day.

Sunday May 11

Running long 1:30:00 [2] 18 km (5:00 / km)
Up early for a long run on Mother's Day. I had to be back in time to server breakfast in bed to Anne and arrange the presents for the kids to give to her.
On the run I almost got bonked on the head by a hot air balloon. As I was running the cycle loop ridge near Studley Park, a balloon rose from the river beneath me, just skimmed the top of the tree tops, and then descended to the next river bend. I almost shook hands with the passengers and asked them for a glass of wine!
