I happened to find a Park & Street #31 control chained to a tree along the trail. It looked like it may have been there for a while.

Orienteering race 47:27 [5] *** 8.48 km (5:36 / km) +146m 5:09 / km
spiked:13/15c

Bendigo Series
Upper Crusoe

I used this race as an experiment to test out my GoPro. It was a present from my old work colleagues when I left Superpartners. My race was ok, but I did make a couple of mistakes confusing small spurs with adjacent ones. I had some trouble interpreting them from the map. To me they looked larger on the ground than they were on the map. The LIDAR mapping is accurate, but I am probably more used to the Alex Tarr mapping interpretation of these.

I won't bore you with the full video. The file size is too large for my poor old computer to process properly anyway. In the globe/camera icon link above you can see my mistake at control 5. See if you can tell me what I did wrong :-). The video/map replay seems to work better in a Chrome browser than an IE browser.

I think that the GoPro would probably be more interesting to watch on a more technical race such as a middle distance or sprint race.
