2016 Bendigo Rocks
Korong Spur
2nd 14 seconds behind Ian Lawford.
I started slowly, but worked my way into it and increased the pace. My orienteering was good, and I am getting used to my new str8 compass.
The only trouble I had was with my VJ spiked shoes. They gave me good grip on the wet rocks, but I got a huge blister on my right heel. I have not worn these shoes for years, and the heel is very hard and rough.
The grip was great, but they did a bit of damage to my foot.
All in all, my Inov-8 shoes are much more comfortable, and only give a little less grip. I would only consider the VJ spikes with slippery bare rock surfaces, and I would need to do something about softening the heel.
