Bendigo Bush Classic
Kangaroo Gully

This is a very enjoyable map. Open forest, some small hills and a moderate amount of gold mining detail.

There was quite a good battle for the win today, with the Unpronounceable, the Red Goonan, the Green Goonan and the Aucklander all within 2 or 3 minutes.
I was a bit tired after a big training week, but found some speed in the second half of the course. My biggest mistake was running to the Bendigo flag instead of the finish flag at the end (as they were the same colour) and losing 20 seconds.

SA Junior Camp champs at Pympton

Cold, wet and windy in open paddocks.
Decent terrain for SA, but a bit scratchy and not a lot of fun in these conditions. Mapping of the rocks felt a little weird.

Kooyoora State Park

Moderate course for the kids at Kooyoora on the way to Adelaide.

There appears to have been a wild wind storm as there were hundreds of fallen trees near the bitumen at the entrance to the park.

Note
(rest day)

JWOC sprint viewing party.
Gold medal to Aston Key from Australia!

It would have been interesting if Kasper Fosser had not missed a loop, but Aston was too fast for everybody else today.
