trail running race (Bunyaville xc) 26:14 [5] 5.0 km (5:15 / km) +150m 4:34 / km

Forgot to wear my Suunto so wasn't sure what time I ran on the day. Looked it up after though and was quite pleased - 20s PB for this year. This was good as I still didn't feel very fresh.

Orienteering (Sprint) 20:00 [3] 4.0 mi (5:00 / mi)

Sprint intervals at Marist College Ashgrove to try sharpen up on sprint orienteering before WUOC. Was quite a good session !

Orienteering 43:30 [5] 6.3 km (6:54 / km)

Midweek O at seven hills.

Finally felt recovered !! Thought I ran really well actually and felt very strong on the hills.

Terrain running (Terrain TT) 20:30 [3] 3.07 mi (6:41 / mi)

Was a bit devo this time was so slow. Still very tired after the Mt Coottha run. Once again, really disappointed in my lack of ability to recover from long runs. Think I need to take yet another rest day tomorrow, which seems ridiculous.

Orienteering 1:00:20 [4] 6.14 km (9:50 / km) +230m 8:17 / km
ahr:137 max:188

Interesting that my heart rate was that low.

Legs were still totally destroyed after Friday's run - couldn't really run properly. I got the feeling though that my legs felt quite strong on the hills, just also quite sore. I think I will see some strength/running gains once I properly recover from Friday. Will target an active recovery day tomorrow.

Nav was quite sloppy also - I hope the Karst cup events are enough of a lead-up into Hungary. I should also get into looking at the WUOC maps this week.
