Sunday Aug 31

road run 32:39 [4] 5.0 mi (6:31 / mi)
On the track in WVa with my mom.
road run 14:00 [3] 2.0 mi (7:00 / mi)
Did the last 4 laps at a slower pace...

Thursday Aug 28

road run 1:26:35 [3] 18.75 km (4:37 / km)
Ran home from work. Carried 1 liter of water in the hydrapack - not quite enough. Not too bad a run, mostly following the normal bike route. Makes me appreciate just how efficient a bicycle really is.
Note
Takes 40 mins to walk to the timonium light rail stop from home, and 20 mins to the 'tute from the Woodberry stop along the shortest route (through the park). With the train ride, its 1:20 total commute time - about the same as running, and about 35 mins slower than the bike (45 mins tot, 35-37 pedaling). Commuting with the bus-train-bus from home takes anywhere from 50 mins to 1:45 depending on what the bus drivers are smoking that day. Driving takes 25 mins in good traffic. The bike is a clear win...until I get run-dover. Will try the run commute more often to get longer road-runs in though.

Tuesday Aug 26

cycling 1:10:00 [3] 24.0 mi (2:55 / mi)
Work Commute. Good speed. Roads wet coming home. Dropped teh car off for new tires this morning, so saved about a mile.

Monday Aug 25

cycling 1:15:00 [4] 25.3 mi (2:58 / mi)
Work Commute plus a little extra.

Saturday Aug 23

orienteering 38:45 [3] 5.6 km (6:55 / km)
QOC summer series event at squirrel kill, er, run.

Thursday Aug 21

cycling 2:46:00 [3] 49.56 mi (3:21 / mi)
Evening ride with Brad, due north from his house into PA northwest of York, out and back. Nice route - flatter than our norm. Was able to cruise more than usual. Drank 2.5L water. Scenery was beautiful, especially compared to my work commute.

Wednesday Aug 20

cycling 1:16:00 [4] 24.95 mi (3:03 / mi)
Work Commute.

Tuesday Aug 19

road run 50:41 [3] 12.55 km (4:02 / km)
Roland Park.

Monday Aug 18

cycling 1:13:30 [4] 24.95 mi (2:57 / mi)
Work Commute.
road run 13:26 [3] 3.35 km (4:01 / km)
Went for a short run right after getting off the bike. This always seems really hard - takes ~2km to feel like I'm actually running. Ran to Food Lion and got some grub. Pace looks suprisingly fast. Felt slow to me.

Sunday Aug 17

weights 30:00 [2]
Changing the brake pads and flushing the lines. most of the effort was taking the wheels on and off and jacking the car up repeatedly. Sweating like a pig.

Thursday Aug 14

cycling 1:13:45 [4] 24.95 mi (2:57 / mi)
Work commute.

Wednesday Aug 13

trail run 41:36 [3] 9.9 km (4:12 / km)
Roland Park with Burnt Mountin map. Mostly concentrating on visualizing better attack and execution on legs I blew this weekend. Also on noticing collecting features and better contact. Need more time in the woods. Hot and muggy.

Tuesday Aug 12

cycling 1:14:00 [4] 24.95 mi (2:58 / mi)
Work Commute.

Sunday Aug 10

orienteering 1:08:28 [4] 9.1 km (7:31 / km)
Day 2 Boulder Dash, Storrs Pond.

Blue Day 2 - Splits

Saturday Aug 9

orienteering 1:39:53 [3] 9.1 km (10:59 / km)
Day 1 Boulder Dash, Burnt Mountain.

Blue Day 1 - Splits

Thursday Aug 7

road run 51:27 [3] 12.5 km (4:07 / km)
Roland Park with Pawtuckaway map. Glanced at it occasionally. Not enough though. Very wet and muddy.

Wednesday Aug 6

cycling 1:13:30 [3] 24.95 mi (2:57 / mi)
Work Commute. Felt really good coming home...not sure why. Dead calm winds. Was able to climb 1 gear higher than normal.

Monday Aug 4

road run 40:29 [3] 9.9 km (4:05 / km)
Roland Park

Sunday Aug 3

orienteering 2:00:00 [2] 7.0 mi (17:08 / mi)
Map hike on a very old map of Soldier's Delight Natural Area, Baltimore Co, MD.

Saturday Aug 2

cycling 3:45:00 [3] 56.5 mi (3:58 / mi)
Tour de PA with Brad. Hot and humid. Shepherdstown, Red Lion, Dallastowne, Brown's market for some treats, then Glen Rock, Railroad, New Freedom and home. The contacts on my computer are completely gone so had to rely on Brad's for teh distance. My bike is filthy. Oh, a bird flew into my front wheel spokes while I was going down a steep hill at 35 MPH. It came out, bounced off my leg and landed in the road - dead. Still have feathers and goo on my spokes. Yuk.
