Gaylor and Granite Lakes basin and off-trail scramble up to a summit. just above Tioga pass in Yosemite. Steep. Had the entire place to myself. Absolutely beautiful.

Hike up Pothole dome at Tuolume Meadows. Looks like a giant marble raceway.

Wednesday Oct 24

Long day hike in Yosemite. Valley floor to Glacier point on "4-mile" trail, then past Illouete, Nevada and Vernal falls, return via merced river along the valley floor. A little water in each of these falls. ~4000' total climb.

Hiking in Yosemite. Valley floor to top of Yosemite falls. Return in the dark. 2500' climb. Not a drop of water in the falls...just a big stain on a big rock.
