trail run 2:16:32 [3] 26.3 km (5:11 / km)

2 hr trail run at Loch Raven. Did a 1-hr loop, then dog-leged up to the apt for water, then back out to the NW. Turned up a reentrant earlier than I wanted, but it was all new terrain so pretty interesting. Needed water at the far end..had a 30 min run to get to it. Next time will have to carry some (and a map). 2600 feet of climb. Route and Profile. And a closer view of the route. Checked out the revolutionary war era iron furnace that Ken Sr. told me about. The only remnants left are the large rocky reentrants where they dug out the ore. There were 3 large ones and a few smaller ones. Pretty interesting. Its a 250' drop from my apt down to lake level.

cycling 1:20:00 [3] 25.65 mi (3:07 / mi)

Work commute. Front deraileur cable broke about a mile from work on the way in - just at the top of the sweet downhill where I could have used the high gears. Tied it up around the water bottle cage and limped in to work. The ride home was a pain with only abut 1/3 of my gears! Did lots of fast spinning.

road run 51:27 [3] 12.55 km (4:06 / km)

Roland Park.

road run 40:39 [4] 10.15 km (4:00 / km)

Roland park. Easy starting out, then picked it up visualizing winning the bronze medal in the relay with the US Team at WOC08. Its amazing how much faster I run doing that :) But maybe a more effective means of reaching that goal would be visualizing some routes instead.

trail run 12:00 [3] 2.0 km (6:00 / km)

A suitable warm-up for a change, necessitated by the start logistics and weather.

orienteering race 1:16:46 [5] 10.7 km (7:10 / km)

West Point, Blue, Day 2. Very nice woods. Controls mostly hung high. A couple of errors early, then pretty clean for the rest.
