Monday May 30

trail run 9:00 [3]2 km (4:30 / km)
Warm-ups
orienteering 10:59 [5]2.2 km (5:00 / km)
Water Gap Sprint #1. Made an error on #3, and that combined with the trail running on 1 and 2 let John F catch me there (30s). Spent the rest of the race splitting routes with him trying to make up the time but only got back 3s or so.
orienteering 12:31 [5]2.25 km (5:34 / km)
Water Gap sprint #2. Crazy start, as I forgot to clear and check. Did that and started immediately. Blew #2 too far left. Error on #4 - climbed too high too early. Too wide on 5 and 7...losing seconds. Ran slower than I could have with no one around me for motivation.

Sprint 1 - Splits

sprint 2 - Splits

Sunday May 29

Event: Memorial Day Weekend US Team Fundraiser

trail run 10:00 [3]2 km (5:00 / km)
warm up.
orienteering 1:39:04 [4]13.95 km (7:06 / km)
Water Gap, Blue. Too low on 6, bad routes to 9 and 10, just missed 17. Greg pointed out a safer attack on that one which I hadn't see while running.
orienteering 26:11 [3]2.25 km (11:38 / km)
Control pickup at the water gap.

Blue - Splits

Saturday May 28

trail run 35:11 [3]8 km (4:24 / km)
At the loch. Just enough to meet the volume goal for the week. Race tomorrow.

Friday May 27

cycling 1:18:30 [4]25.65 mi (3:03 / mi)
Work commute.

Thursday May 26

cycling 1:16:40 [3]25.65 mi (2:58 / mi)
Work commute. Awesome tailwind this morning on the back side of the nor'easter. Barely pedaled and managed a 20.5 mph average inbounds. Then coming home my blood was up after a work discussion regarding use of resources for some useless doumentation editing, so I cranked pretty hard for a 19.9 avg on the rt.

Wednesday May 25

Note
Went to see Star Wars tonight. Which orienteer do we all know and love who looks just like Padame? :) 10 guesses.
C • Padme 1

Tuesday May 24

road run 57:01 [4]14.4 km (3:58 / km)
Roland park. Light drizzle. Trail section muddy. Felt pretty good today - probably because I ate a whole bag of goldfish for lunch. Actually I thought I was pushing pretty hard but the pace doesn't seem to reflect that. Rats. (a re-measurement of this route shows why! Instead of 13.75 it is actually 14.4km!)
