DVOA long course champs, Hickory Run, Blue. Physical running through saplings, a few areas of laurel and some deadfall. I wasn't feeling very inspired. Nice long legs though.

Thursday Sep 1

cycling 1:17:30 [3]25.65 mi (3:01 / mi)
Work commute. Legs have forgotten what cycling is in just over a week. Rode the last couple of miles home chatting with a guy on a nice Trek 5900 Madone carbon...me grinding away on my rusting 15- year old moly Trek 350. 5900-350 = ...yikes, I'm 5550 behind! :) I watched the car in front of me pull out and cut him off - funny how I saw him coming from way back even though I was a full car-length away from the intersection, but the driver of the car did not (or did and just didn't give a crap). So we traded near-death experiences, which seem to be more and more common these days. He had just been yelled at by some motorist...the usual "bikes shouldn't be on the roads" thing.
