trail run 1:30:02 [4] 16.0 km (5:38 / km)

Beach run on Jersey shore with Clem, Greg A and Tom O. Tropical strom...strong onshore winds and tremendous surf. Ended up running in the water sometimes when the waves washed the whole beach. Off and on rain. High tide now at 3PM and the surf is all the way across the beach to the dunes. Tiring, but really awesome to be out there.

road run 1:11:36 [3] 16.3 km (4:24 / km)

Various running from the tire dealer to the train, then to work, and finally from work back to the tire dealer to pick up the car. Ernesto made it interesting. Very wet in the afternoon.

cycling 1:16:00 [3] 25.65 mi (2:58 / mi)

Work commute. Lots of close calls tonight - some days are just crazy. It was gloomy out with the overcast and had some drizzle near the beltway. Fortunately had the taillight.

Note

Must have strained someting in my back during the fall yesterday. Deep breaths hurt in the lower back. No rib pain, and nothing out of the ordinary in terms of motion induced pain...just the breathing.

Sunday Aug 27, 2006 #

trail run 30:10 [3] 7.0 km (4:19 / km)

Down and around at Loch Raven. Took the down part literally when I tripped and did a superman in an especially rocky section. Scraped my palms, fingers, and got a small cut on my forearm. Bled all over the shirt. Got a stick in the nose yesterday in sprint #1. More bloodletting than usual this weekend.
