Running warm up/down 12:00 [2]
shoes: Nike Free Run

Seemed easier to do the sprint at Guildford than try to fit in a run in the morning so I did enough warm up to do my planned 30min assuming I would take about 18 minutes to run the sprint.

Orienteering 18:16 [4] **
shoes: Nike Free Run

Guildford Grammar Nav Dash. Heart playing up before starting but didn't expect to feel great anyway after lunch at the junction ice creamery shortly before arriving.
Tried to just run a steady pace all the way and didn't feel all that bad most of the time. Had a bit of a hesitation at one control which I'd like to blame on a bad patch with my heart but not sure if that is fair.
Quite an enjoyable run but didn't feel good for the next couple of hours so I will try harder to resist the temptation in future.

Running 42:20 [3]
shoes: Nike Free 3.0

Strettle reserve via rehab area. Reasonably solid pace with a bit of surging. Enjoying training again so far. Right knee a little stiff again and right quad/hip flexor a bit sore surging up hills, probably related.

Rehab loop. Didn't bother trying to build the pace this time.

Running 52:02 [3]

Tried to do a build run but I kept getting tired and slowing down again. Right knee a bit stiff early and right shin a little sore late.

Orienteering 45:10 [4] **** 6.0 km (7:32 / km) +245m 6:15 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 212

Ran around the Australian middle champs course early as a final check and to switch on controls. Couldn't see a thing heading into the sun on 2 and 4 and made a small mistake on 4 but otherwise an ok run. Stopped to do up my laces on the way to 10. Heart pretty good through the first half with just a few brief flutters but got really bad going into 11. Felt as though I had just finished an 800m track race when I got to 11 despite walking most of the final hill. Pretty disappointed with the time really, I know I wasn't really racing but I thought I was going better than that at least up to 10. Looking at the splits Blair seemed to be consistently faster than me up to there and slower after that which seems really odd.
Can't get garmin to download, might try again later.
