Orienteering race 20:45 intensity: (15 @1) + (26 @2) + (1:50 @3) + (18:14 @4) ** 3.73 km (5:34 / km) +27m 5:22 / km

NavDash long course at Murdoch Uni. Heart was fine for this one but I was constantly around my limit of 150bpm so I felt as though I was having to hold back a lot which was a bit frustrating. Sprint races really aren't that much fun when you have to hold back.

Orienteering 16:51 intensity: (14 @1) + (15 @2) + (4:28 @3) + (11:11 @4) + (43 @5) ** 2.81 km (6:00 / km) +34m 5:39 / km

Handicap starts on short course. Started ok but had to take it very slowly once we turned uphill after number 3 and then my heart started to play up after the leg past the finish so I walked quite a bit near the end. Slower than Simmo and Anthea but luckily it was unofficial.

I was awake and didn't feel as though I was likely to get back to sleep at 4am and I knew it was going to be hard to fit in a run today so I thought I might as well try now. Walked for a few minutes to help wake up then started jogging around the outside of KP. Stomach was churning a bit from pretty early and my heart started to join in as I got near UWA. I didn't really want to get home before 5am and it was only spiking to 150 briefly before dropping back to the 120s so I just kept going. Felt reasonably good some of the time but heart was never steady for more than a minute or so and my stomach still didn't feel great so I thought I'd better take it really easy.

Orienteering 1:04:57 intensity: (11:08 @2) + (29:46 @3) + (22:47 @4) + (1:16 @5) *** 9.13 km (7:07 / km) +148m 6:35 / km

Putting out and collecting tapes for a short course around the flat open area at the Eastern edge of Malmalling and a bit of the old Manaring Lagoon map. Put out the tapes in reverse, ran a bit of the other course until I found Henry. I was going to follow Henry around a bit but Rachel and Kellie appeared before we started and I decided they would be more my speed so I followed around behind Kellie collecting the tapes. Trying to stay with Kellie was setting off my heart rate alarm fairly frequently but never for too long. I think I'm just about ready to run W21E but M21E is probably still a bit of a stretch.
