Rode around the river, opposite direction to last time. Stopped for a while in North Fremantle trying to work out how to get across the river. Pushed pretty hard into the wind from Canning Bridge to the Narrows and crawled home from there.

City Beach have forfeited the tennis tonight so I thought I'd better do a decent run this morning instead. Physio suggested avoiding hills for a while so I headed down to the river instead. A little sore early but only mild by the time I got to UWA and kept improving from there. Found myself picking up the pace a little coming back through UWA but resisted the urge to keep building (I think). Joined Nic and John for the last bit past the ovals as they were finishing the Rosalie run.

Running 36:41 [3] 6.92 km (5:18 / km) +73m 5:02 / km
shoes: Nike Free 3.0 Flyknit Blue

Tried running in the frees for the first time in ages, partly because I happened to be wearing them when Rachel sent me out, partly curious to see how it felt compared to the Triumphs and I thought it wasn't a bad idea to stir things up a bit before seeing the physio tomorrow morning. Turns out it wasn't great, a little sore early on and got worse as I went so I cut it a bit short. Definitely feeling it more around under the outside of the ankle than at the heel but started to spread to other parts of the foot later on. Legs and guts feeling pretty bad too so not the most enjoyable run.
