ORIENTEERING race (SOL 6) 1:01:45 [5] *** 7.3 km (8:28 / km) +197m 7:27 / km
ahr:165 spiked:15/23c shoes: inov8 mudclaw 300 green

came 4th on my first blue It was quite a hard course because it was the JEC long race for W18 who'd run it just before. i managed to mess up number one somehow probably because i knew kathryn barr was a minute after me and matthew was 2 minutes after me. i got the fastest split on the long leg 3-4 which i was pretty pleased about because i usually messed it up. I just pathed it all the way round while everyone else went through the horrible stuff. 4-5 i also got the fastest split and at 6 i was winning by 20 seconds to pete because he took the path too. then i went into the grotty forest. i messed up almost every single one on the butterfly loop and even managed to mess up 7 and 13 even though they were the same control. i had slipped down to fifth but then got the fastest split on the long leg out the forest. lost a bit of time on the last loop and got really muddy but i was pretty pleased with 4th place.

sprint at stirling uni. Found it pretty hard because the controls were really close together. I took a bad route choice on the long leg and then messed up quite a lot in the forest at the end. forgot to wear my garmin so i have no clue how far i ran

slow recovery jog trying to keep under 140 bpm, it was really windy so whenever i turned into the wind my hr jumped
