ORIENTEERING 56:19 [3] 7.1 km (7:56 / km)
shoes: Inov8 x claw 275

Loch Vaa- drawn on course in the snow. Felt good but still messed up quite a bit. Not looking at map enough even though I was stopping at the controls. Bearings were good but distance judgement pretty bad. It’s getting better though

Wednesday Feb 14 #

RUNNING 17:10 [3] 3.1 km (5:32 / km)
shoes: ions 8 rocklike 2nd pair

ORIENTEERING 29:44 [3] 3.0 km (9:55 / km)
shoes: ions 8 rocklike 2nd pair

Insriach- felt good but screwed up quite a bit. Doing an old course so when I found what I thought was the right control site I was like solid and I’d set my bearing for the next one then come out on a path and be like oh shit I was in that depression like 100m away from the actual one. That only happened twice so I guess when I’m relocating I need to just look further outside control site so I can actually see where I am. Pretty snowy though and at least I can run fine

Tuesday Feb 13 #

RUNNING 35:10 [3] 6.3 km (5:35 / km)
shoes: ions 8 rocklike 2nd pair

Turned into quite a bit of a warm up and cool down because mum couldn’t drive all the way to area as road was too icy

ORIENTEERING 25:00 [3] 2.47 km (10:07 / km)
shoes: ions 8 rocklike 2nd pair

Orienteering ROMP at achlean. So snowy which was nice but made an already heavy area so slow. Technically pretty good stopped at each control and set a bearing as not much point in flow in that forest. Messed up a couple controls as I just wasn’t looking at map enough. Definitely want to do more orienteering in snow though it was sick
