RUNNING 34:44 [3] 6.47 km (5:22 / km) +378m 4:09 / km
shoes: X-claw 275

Birnam hill race- 11th overall and 2nd u21. Pushed on the uphill and got to the top in 7th, but was dropped 4 places on the downhill from not wanting to die or have doms for tomorrow. Really enjoyed it good first hill race experience, also shoutout to fin for the quality footage. I think my strides must be too long cos I looked like I was jogging

ORIENTEERING 34:44 [3] 5.02 km (6:55 / km) +140m 6:04 / km
shoes: X-claw 275

Class middle distance starting two minutes ahead of fin. Stood still at 3 and swept up by the big man so we messed up the next few together. Loved the downhill legs, apart from decking it to 11, but was leading fin and in control navving- though this isn’t too bad I can read the map. Then we mp’d 14 damn it man. Would’ve snatched a decent result but tbh such good fun anyway

RUNNING 33:10 [3] 5.1 km (6:30 / km) +280m 5:06 / km
shoes: X-claw 275

Wu for the hill race with jura and then wu to the start with fin for the second weekend in a row crazy eh. Didn’t race like last week on the wd tho we had a battle to the finish instead. I had it in the bag til I shouted cavendish when I overtook him and he sped up, hitting the finish at the same time but I tried to air it and overshot so he won by default.

The craziest thing today was the fact I got the exact same time on hill race and orienteering by accident how mad is that. Looking forward to tomorrow liking the look of an open hill- but is it pronounced doomyat dumbyat or dum-aye-at because Pete’s wrong on this one

ORIENTEERING 30:28 [3] 4.64 km (6:34 / km) +108m 5:53 / km
shoes: X-claw 275

Hampsfell middle- ended up 5 and half down on Pete. Doing so badly at the start losing 30s on pretty much every control up until 7 when we left the woods. 8,9,10,11 all rally solid with some fast splits and at 11 was only 2.30 down on Pete which would have been a decent result. then messed 12 and 13 badly should’ve slowed down. A wee missed opportunity maybe but a good day out and not complaining got to see molloy Johnson grierson and Mitchell together for first time since balmoral last year

RUNNING 31:23 [3] 5.07 km (6:11 / km) +103m 5:37 / km
shoes: X-claw 275

Freezing cold wu with fin then a mad warm down with fin doing a 300m race down the grassy field. Got up to 2.13 pace according to the garmin has to be my fastest ever. Then a couple laps with the bois
