Note
(injured)

Reaching to try and get nish the kitten from under my bed before school and as I went down something went in my ankle. Was very sudden and painful and thought I’d rolled it but couldn’t walk it off and is super tight and painful when I walked. Probably just tweaked/sprained mildy as hasn’t swollen at all. Probably just lack of stretching as dedicating my life to band every evening. Has loosened off a bit through today so will just see- not too worried as don’t need to run for anything in the near future. Gym/cycle in the mean time which as you’ve probably guessed I don’t like logging so goodbye ap for a few days

RUNNING 1:10:21 [3] 12.78 km (5:30 / km) +249m 5:01 / km

Mad mad mad one from school. Seen some exciting features on the OS map: some cup and ring marks in the middle of the forestry with no path leading to up to it, some indistinct paths, and some bigger forestry tracks, so decided to go for an explore.
Turned off the forestry track to try and find the cup and rings on a rough bearing based on the sea and mull so wasn’t too hopeful. Luckily it was deforested but was still hidden in re entrant. Awesome cup and ring marks in the middle of nowhere felt much more powerful than normal.
Went on to try and find the indistinct track which I knew wouldn’t be there, and sure enough ordnance survey didn’t let me down. Ended up running along a sort of boggy ride with no sign off a path. Was more hopeful about the big track, but it stayed as a boggy ride then it headed out of deforestation into big old pine plantations, and that was when it went downhill. Turned into a tunnel through the pine branches and had to crawl 200m, the arms and face getting scraped worse than bosco della ficuzza. The worst thing was that it was first thing in the morning so the trees soaked me big style. Relieved to emerge onto the logging track finally and head back to school. Still what an adventure. I’m gonna spend the year mapping out Lochgilphead for OS cos they clearly can’t be arsed to. That track existed maybe 20 year ago what a joke

RUNNING 1:23:06 [3] 16.1 km (5:10 / km) +265m 4:46 / km
shoes: Roadclaw 240

Longer loop from school. Out along canal to cairnbaan and up to above Ardrishaig along forestry tracks. Seen the 70% chance of heavy rain and took a lightweight coat, but within 500m i chucked it behind a tree cos it was sunny. Got caught with some light ones in the last half hour but managed to get back in before the crazy monsoon style one hit
