Decided to do a big one after feeling good yesterday, and had wanted to do this route after having the lamm map stuck on my wall for the past year.
Dropped off at the side of the road and straight up Uisgneabhal Mòr, which was really nice ridge running. Down to the glen then a slog up Cleisabhal, and more awesome ridge running over Oireabhal and Ulabhal before descending to foot of Tiorga Mòr. Brutal 350m climb in like 800m up Tiorga Mòr, and narrowly avoided the bonk by tanning a few thousand calories of fruit and nut. More lovely ridge running off the top, down to the bhealach then a slog and a half up Huisabhal Mòr, which I can’t imagine how the lamm elites managed after 8 hours of running. Garmin had shown low battery from about a km in but somehow survived all the way up to here and crashed on the four hour mark, but luckily was rescued by Strava mobile and could coast the final downhill into Huishinish (where nish the kitten was derived from) knowing my gpx was safe. Was dead but could still jog so was happy
