Meall nan tarmachan hill race, 4th behind Finlay wild, gg and Tom Owens. Tucked in behind some Lochaber guys up the half hour climb watching the three guys disappear off ahead. Felt comfortable so went for it and dropped the pack and was surprised to see a figure appear ahead in the clag. Followed him along the ridge and caught him up on the descent, turned out to be Tom Owens which was a surprise but he’s still dead after UTMB. Reached the track ahead of him but he bombed away and i came in solo about 30s back on him. Happy with that was class fun and must be pretty fit to be only a few minutes down on gg and Finlay. Nice start to the holidays

Exploring oakfield area opposite the canal with Calum. Some sort of strange posh cult I reckon, big old houses with twisting muddy lanes and strange wee footbridges, and some paths that had been cut by a lawnmower. Weird. Announcing the school quiz on the stage afterwards and pronounced Tanzania as tan-zayn-eeah instead of tan-za-neeah and got slated which I thought was harsh

Mp on last leg of the relay. Really sorry to Joel and James who both put in some effort and gutted to have let the team down. I was checking my codes, I just didn’t go to 19 or 23 just from missing them out in my head and not seeing it on the map. Feel pretty stupid. Kudos to dj and Ben for rescuing the situation.

Really fun weekend thanks to all. Topped off with MVDP, Kristoff, Julian, Sagan, Dennis, Ackermann, Thomas, Nairo and many others with fin at the cycling afterwards crazy scenes.

Note

Worried about the ankle thought it was getting better but back to physio this week hopefully and get it sorted before jhis. Hopefully a hill race this weekend but will have to see. 2 weeks of holiday too yass
