Relay at sa champs. Did not get my time, but i think t would have been aroung 18 or quicker. Had a good run except for a mistake on 2 where i got distracted by other runners and lost contact with the map. We placed 3rd overall which was a good result for our team. Two national runners and dan who is still learning to orienteer at pace. Was stressful but great to place so high after a poor start. Alex and i passed a few teams each i think

Had a better run on the long race. Dropped time, about 5:30 min to alex but a lot of that was due to running speed. Stuffed around on number 7 and 21 and dropped a fair bit of time on both. But i enjoyed my run out there. Caught, passed and dropped a few of the open guys on the same course which was good. Run was not epic but i enjoyed it. Tricky rock section across the middle of the map was a big advantage to the GP orienteers who are used to the rocks. Placed 5th on the course and 2nd in my age group

First race of Sa champs
Was having a decent run up until number 12. Lost concerntaration on a relativly short leg and lost over 3:30 min. Dropped me down to 5th on the course. Pace was not up there with alex and nic who were running like deamons. it was not a perfect race by any means but iv not been very fit. Enjoyed my time out there though. nice forest

Short 1 - Splits

Did my usual route with the hills. Was pretty out of breath for most of the run.
My expications for this weekend aint that great. Fittness is pretty poor. Orienteering has been medioca but will try my best. Running the open course so i am to beat a few of the senior team even if i dont beat alex

Rough class. Hectic core work during warm up with a mix of other stretches and upper body work. Class was intense with no rest so heart rate was elevated for a fair part of the time, had me gasping for air after a few sets of drills. Ended with 15 min sparing.
