Running race 1:34:54 [5] 18.0 km (5:16 / km) +1000m 4:08 / km
shoes: Salomon S-Lab

I ran the Trail Reino de Patones. I took a 4th place in overall and 1st place of my class (senior men).

The whole race was a tight fight for the podium between 4 athletes. I reached the first peak in 3rd place and with the same time as the second, then I decided to push less in the downhill to save some energy for the next big uphill and I was passed by 2. Finally I pushed hard on my way to the last peak to pass one runner. In the last downhill we separated to each other and I took 4th place.

I made a big effort and I suffered a lot. Its a nice feeling when you finish this kind of races and you get satisfied with your performance.

We went uphill to Peña Pintada, close to Barranca. It was a big track with lots of turns.

Running 28:38 [2] 5.1 km (5:37 / km) +40m 5:24 / km
shoes: Salomon S-Lab

I went too slow, just to make my ankles stronger and make a bigger effort with the muscles. I really enjoyed this because we did a free downhill, I mean, wherever you wanted to go except for tracks or paths.

Liga Norte in Burgos. Map setting by Tedu. He made it quite technical with a big amount of controls. The visibility in some parts was very low and you had to be confident with your compass; I had big troubles in control number 5 due to this, losing aproximately 4:30 minutes.

I won the course but it didnt make me feel good. When you are trying to improve and become a better orienteer, it is not allowed to make that much time losing in only one control, even if the rest of the race was perfect. This mistake came mainly by low confidence.

Its time to work on it, and lets see if pays off in future.
