Shoes died a terrible death. Both of them completely ripped about half way round so I walked/jogged back.
Running well in the terrain before this when I could.
Nav was very good when I was concentrating on it. Really good compass work. Long leg was simplified really well which meant I could just focus on finding the best route to run across the heather.
Lost concentration with the nav when the shoes broke but I think that's kind of undestanable
