Running 44:00 [5] 6.0 km (7:20 / km) +228m 6:10 / km
shoes: Gel Asics Cumulus 17

Time and distance is just a guess right now, because when I was about to upload this, I found my watch was still running - having driven home, showered and had dinner............ (I'll have to get stuff when I look at the graphs from connect)
Anyway, warm up lap of the park
8xpolice hills [rest jogging back down]
All between 1:30-1:33
Every single one was a grind. Legs were just sore and tired and honestly didn't think I would make 8.
About the biggest cool down I could muster with Kirsty... The whole 400ish meters back to the car...

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: Yellow Inov8 X-talons 212

Warm up. No idea how far/long this was as I was trying to save the battery on my watch

Orienteering 1:12:57 [4] 8.0 km (9:07 / km)
shoes: Yellow Inov8 X-talons 212

JEC Spectator Long
No idea on distance as my watch died at about no.2
Started well, going fast and hitting them well. Didn't see the round route to no.4, but straight was fine until I tried to cross the rough open. Was further right than I thought, so ended up battling through brambles and grott. Got to the track and decided that tracks were the way to go from then on. (Ran along the path to find the rough-open I wanted to cross, only to find it was a lot more runnable...)
Running well through the next few, using my compass well and was really excited to see there was a butterfly loop. Real mess of no.9, think mainly because the rides were really confusing me (not sure if me or them...). Then no.13 and 14 just couldn't use my compass at all.
Started to get really hungry now, but back out of the green again which was a relief. No mistakes after this, although got a bit confused when Abi and Matthew were running in completely a different direction to me (turns out they had already turned over the map...).
Really enjoyed the course, and good to see I ran felt strong the whole 70+ minutes, just kicking myself about the mistakes

Running warm up/down 8:11 [1] 1.0 km (8:11 / km)
shoes: X-talon 212 Green/black

Warm up and drills

Orienteering 41:57 [3] 4.86 km (8:38 / km)
shoes: X-talon 212 Green/black

JEC Spectator Relay. Mass start
Pretty bad route on the way to 1, trying to get ahead of the pack, but backfired pretty bad!! 2-4 were good, just trying to catch up places again. Almost at 5 when I found Jura laying on the ground having twisted her knee, scared me quite a lot. Of course I stopped for her and started to help carrying her out, until Josie took over and let me run. Went to tell Maureen/Bill and then carried on with my course - well, tried to.... Just couldn't refocus at all and kept missing the easiest of things. Missed out a grim loop as I just couldn't face it, and came across Clare, Lizzie and Kirsten which lifted me again. Did the rest of it moderately ok from then

Running 8:54 [1] 1.33 km (6:42 / km)
shoes: Blue/orange Inov8 X-talons 212

Warm up to the start then some drills and sprints

Orienteering 14:32 [4] 2.45 km (5:56 / km)
shoes: Blue/orange Inov8 X-talons 212

JEC Spectator Sprint
Really focused on going off at a decent pace, as the last few sprints I've done I went off way to fast and died half way round. This plan landed itself Welles the first few controls were in the woods anyway.
The scale threw me a little at the start, but I soon got my head around it. No real mistakes at all, just some hesitations or not being able to see the control (behind a tree etc). Think I got the route choice nailed on the long leg though.
Felt pretty good anyway
