Long run in Darnaway
Been putting this off all day, but finally got out and actually felt quite good. Had a rough route in my head, but kinda just made it up as I went along, trying to incorporate tracks I have never been down before.
Started in Conicavel and basically did a big loop going clockwise. Quite a few single path bits, steep hills, fallen trees and mud which all added to the excitement! Also know exactly where to add on an extra 300m, so will have to remember this one as a 10k route

shoes: Gel Asics Cumulus 17

Warm up down to the boat yard and estuary with dad
8x2mins[90secs] along what must be the only flat road in Salcombe!! Found it tough, and legs seized up as the session went on. Every effort ~500m
Short cool down (he last effort finished coming back into town) along the coast on the promenade back to the house

Other 50:00 [1]

Out in the kayak with my uncle. Launched from the centre of Salcombe and went against the (very strong) tide out to North Sands, then back.

Running 39:17 [3] 6.75 km (5:49 / km) +100m 5:25 / km
shoes: Gel Asics Cumulus 17

Down in Salcombe for the week for Mark and Amy's wedding, hence why I haven't done anything for the last few days
This was meant to be just an easy run round the route we walked w/ the cousins yesterday. Started off easy, but seemed to get a bit faster on the way back... feeling pretty good anyway, apart from a lil sick.
Not sure if I appreciate how hilly it is everywhere around here though.
