Mum said she'd come out on the bike in Darnaway but she went back on that so I had to go and do this instead. Legs pretty tired from yesterday so couldn't muster anything faster. Freeeeeezing cold(-2?) weather too.

NB: paid for attackpoint now

SEDS Sprint Training - Kinmylies - Planned by Spongey
Idea was there were added uncrossable fences/OOB areas to make it more difficult. Made a real effort not to go off too fast and be a control ahead of myself. This went well until I got to the last bit over the road. Quickly caught Jane and Hazel Wright, but Hazel showed up some of my dodgy route choices, and inability to spot the chalk-drawn controls.
Wondered where these OOB areas were running round the first bit, but then they all hit at once when I crossed the road. Honestly look at 27-28 and couldn't see a route which was actually legal. Got used my head around them, and they certainly made me think which was the whole purpose. Pleased with how it went anyway and seemed to be moving quite well.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: Gel Asics Cumulus 17

Warm-up with Jane, and down with Jess

Running warm up/down 16:35 [1] 2.41 km (6:53 / km) +110m 5:36 / km
shoes: Yellow Inov8 X-talons 212

SEDS Middle Training - Achtemarack - Planned by Spongey
This was meant to be done at 2pm, but the farmer was shooting so didn't let us on, so came back later to do it as night-o. Then when we came back the farmer still said we couldn't go on his land because his cows were out, so we could only do the far bit out of his land.
So jog up to the far end with Felly, Jenny, Josh and Martin

Orienteering 1:06:44 [2] 4.96 km (13:27 / km) +117m 12:02 / km
shoes: Yellow Inov8 X-talons 212

First control wasn't actually there, and although Spongey had told us about this many times, we all still forgot....
Next one I was really slow and hesitant but actually had really good direction, so nailled it in the end. From then on it got a lot better and I started to catch some of the others again. Had really good direction, and got my head around night-o a lot more. However, it all fell back apart at no.14 where I just lost it at the last minute. Martin (and Doug who was collecting) caught me again. 15 and 16 weren't great either, but the 3 of us stayed together.
Run back along the track from 17 with Doug and Martin
Pretty good fun and definitely gave me something to work on for the NNC
