Glen Nant - SOL 4
Particularly ankle turning terrain so I was being understandably careful - L was taped properly, and was actually pain free the entire course :))))
Tired legs, especially on the hills (which there was unfortunately a fair few), but otherwise moving alright.
Technically really good until the last 2 controls. No.14 just getting tired and lost concentration at the end of the leg and just couldn't relocate, loosing a lot of time - abnormal for me. Then no.15 was too far left (knowingly) but then forgot to compensate so relocated off the finish.
Disappointing, but tougher than things recently so probably not surprising

Dunstaffnage Urban
Felt a lot stronger in this than I have done in a race for a while which is encouraging. Navigationally a little bit sloppy, but as the area was quite simple I never really lost any time because of it luckily. Good route choices - mostly!

Easy Harriers Long Run
River loop + Mundole. Ran with 2 slower ladies as I wanted a slow recovery run - although a bit longer than I was expecting. Really nice night. Tight calves

Monaughty Forest Run
Felt quite good on this, although legs understandably tired. Really enjoy the course which helped.
Somehow in the last 3 years of this race, either time has sped up or I actually haven't got any faster.... (1:44 slower infact...) . Although definitely far from ideal preparation tonight, and felt I could have gone faster. Horrendous hill in the middle hit me quite hard

Harriers Speed Session
Warm up with Anna/Kirstie

1x3min[2min], 5x2min[1min], 10x1min[1min]
Tough, long session, but really nice night helped. Felt good, stronger than I have done recently which is nice to see. Speed still not there, but a few weeks before my last exam and then a few weeks after will hopefully improve this before Jukola which is what I'm aiming for.

WD with Kirstie
