Middle champs - started really well. Screwed up #6 - didn't really have a plan. Just ran in the general direction. Must have passed very close to the control, but didn't see it. Then lost confidence about where I was. Very poor relocation strategy was compounded by parallel error. Apart from #12 where I had a poor exit angle (from #11) - went south of #5?! - had a quick and clean run. Lost 10mins.

Awesome sprint venue & great new map. Good race with good focus until cp10. Thorn went through the sole of my shoe into my forefoot. Tried to run on the sides of my foot or heel. Nothing worked and could stop to pull it out. Thought about taking the shoe off. So was slow to 11 and 12. Slowly got used to the spike & managed to speed up again.
Lost contact of the map before cp16 and went round the wrong way to cp17 getting a bit confused about where I was. Then made a parallel error to cp8 - thumbing error! Was looking at the wrong building on the map wondering why the one on the ground didn't fit! Finally sorted that out then quick to the finish.

Had to do an accelerated / truncated version. Felt good to be doing the exercises after a bit of a break. Hopefully will help with my stiff neck (arrived on Sat. morning).
